This playful necklace inspired by the game of mahjong incorporates actual antique mahjong tiles into the strands. The seven mahjong tiles are connected using two strands of yellow jade round beads. Not only does the yellow jade compliment the mahjong tiles, the two strands also stabilize the tiles to their front facing position for wearing. Each wooden mahjong tile measures 20x27mm and is topped with bone that has a design carved into it and then meticulously painted. There are four different tile designs. There are two small carved flower beads strung with the yellow jade that add interest and center the necklace for wearing. The yellow jade strands are joined with a sterling silver square box clasp affixed with a clasp safety. The clasp is topped with a very intricate design in sterling silver. The necklace measures 19” in length. The strands are knotted for extra fine quality.
